As you may have noticed the site was under contruction for a while. The site should be back up and working now for the most part. Some areas are still under construction and will be added back slowly.
The photo gallery, calendar, forum will be back shortly..
Also, if anyone (esp actives) wants to give input on to the direction the site should take (content, look, features, etc) let me know. Hopefully we can start to get more usage out of the site. Alumni, what would you like the site to contain too.
I am looking for ideas, feedback, and for more people to maybe get involved with the site. Both in using it, and in contributing to the content and future of it. Dont like something about the site or anything, let me know.
Hope everyone is doing well.. shoot me an email sometime

Well nice for you to finally drop by Ed..
Since it seems a lot of ALUMNI are confused by this.. No actives seem to have a problem (must be a youth thing) I will explain what is going on to those of you who either dont know, dont read my messages, or dont talk to anyone so are out of the loop.

Well its been a while since any fraternity news has been posted so here is some.
A new Video Gallery has been created for all you budding directors out there. Depending on bandwidth and size, files will be hosted here or on my home DSL (not great at streaming video)
More to come so ...
Check out the fun!!

Lindner and myself are currently starting to work on a joint newsletter for both the actives and alumni. This way both sides can see what each other have done, are planning to do, etc. What we need from everyone to help make this successful, is going to be ideas and articles. Let us know what you are all up to so we can put updates about each other in a section. You can email articles to Lindner or myself. Keep the articles as clean as possible
We are going to take articles till right after formal and hopefully distribute it on May 1. If we don't get articles then we will improvise. We have asked both e-boards for help as well, but don't let it fall all on them. Thanks for the help, and we will let you know how it is going.
Note: Guys i think this will be a good thing for both the alumni and actives plus in time, maybe even to help membership as people could see what has happened over time with Sig Tau... I hope people get involved

We're currently topping out on membership for the website at 44. I'm asking that you get a hold of any guys that you know aren't visiting or don't participate and kick them in the ass. Punks like Gore immediately jump to mind...

This is an open invitation to submit proposals for the next poll or polls that are coming up. Drop me an e-mail with your question and choices, and I just might throw it up.

Well, we're slowly but surely moving forward with some changes and additions to the website.
Since January, we've seen a lot of comments being made that have been anonymous. We've gotten some complaints that the whole anonymous thing is stupid and that everyone should have to associate their names with comments (at least in the articles). So the change has been made to force everyone to have an account if they want to make a comment on an article, poll, etc. If you don't like it, let your views be known. Otherwise, it'll stay that way.
A new FAQ section has been created also, to respond to some claims by a person (Chris Diebold) that the website is "hard to get". It's a first rough pass at it, but I think it answers a lot of the basic questions on how to use it. Finally, always watch the blocks on either side of the website. You never know when they'll be updated.

Note: Special thanks go out to Jeff Leczo who helped out with getting the site space.... Thanks Lex!

The underlying code which runs this website has been upgraded to a new release. Some of the features included are Forums (which is pretty cool and described in greater detail if you read on), tweaks, and odds and ends. Read more...

After considerable voting and deliberations, mostly on the distribution list that a majority of brothers are too lazy to subscribe to... the new domain has been chosen. It's behrendsigtaus.org, and will be active in the coming days.

Well, we're into the first week of the website re-design. I'm going to again solicit for suggestions, improvements, and criticisms of the website... anything that you might think of.
Use the comment system that's available below each article to respond and discuss any of the articles... but especially to give feedback for this one.

Jeff Leczo wrote to all regarding this year's fundraising drive: The start of 2001 is a great time for us to begin what will be an annual event, the Alumni Membership Drive. For the Alumni Association to grow, it is of course imperative that we have some basic funds from which to operate, and this annual drive will meet that need. Read more...

Welcome back to the second iteration of the Sig Tau Alumni Website!
After looking at the previous design/software we were using, I figured that I'd rip that one down and go to one which better suited our needs. Read more...
