Hi(email listserv was down so I just posted this here):

I'm doing another NFL Pool this year. It'll be pick every game, spreads - all online(yes, you can do it from work).

$15 per person - Top 3 spots pay out.

All money will be held online until the end of the season. Paypal is preferred, but you can send me or hand me the money as well and I can just deposit it to the online account.

The more people involved, the bigger the payouts! So if you know someone at work or school or whatever the hell that may be interested, please feel free to forward this on.

* If you are interested in joining, please send me an email (kaylor.pools@gmail.com) and I'll send you over all the info and login information. Drop me a line with any questions.

Looks like the City of Pittsburgh is bringing back the marathon for 2009 & have set a date for the first Sunday in May.

I have spoken to a couple of brothers who are runners that expressed an interest in getting together to participate in next year's race. (They will also have a 1/2, that's marathon, not keg)

Anybody interested feel free to contact me at cdeaner66@bellsouth.net

I'm sure the Burgh locals wouldn't be opposed to tailgating for 3 to 4 hours in support of us running fools !

Later,

Just a quick FYI for anyone interested in golfing or just chilling out with the Behrend and Edinboro Sig Tau's for a nice Saturday afternoon:

The Edinboro AST's will be holding a memorial golf outting in memory of George on October 14th. The proceeds will be going to a scholarship in his name. 12:00PM at Culbertson golf course in Edinboro. Teams of 4, $32 a person. Even if you don't want to sign up for golf, please feel free to show up for raffles, food and fun.

If you'd like anymore information,
please contact me, or Kassi Roark[AST] (412)720-3767

Ya, I know, George didn't golf. . at all. but this should be a great event. Afterwards, Paper Street will finally be releasing their new album "Whiskey and Pushups" at Docksiders in Erie. So make a weekend out of it!

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to let you know that I will be inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame on September 23, 2006 at the Reed Commons on the Behrend Campus. I would love to have past friends attend if possible. It would also be great to see some of those faces again. The fraternity supported me so much while I was playing and I appreciated it so much. The feeling I had when finding out I was getting inducted was the same feeling I had when I was crowned White Rose. What a feeling that was. I hope many of you can attend.

Hope everything is well with everyone. I am attempting to get a poker game together at my house on either May 21st or May 22nd. I'm living in Pittsburgh (Ambridge specifically) and wanted to see if anyone was interested. We were thinking about a Texas Hold'em tourney type of thing. Either a $75 or $100 buy in. Depending on interest, we would have either one or two tables. I'm thinking a max of 20 people. That would be 2 tables of 10.

If I don't get enough for a good Hold'em tourney, I'm sure we'll still play.

E-mail me at guentherb@84lumber.com if you're interested.

Thanks,
Barry Guenther

Note: Hey, poker can be a sport!

It's that time of year again. Time for school to start back up, new freshmen to move in and that greatest of traditions, The Sig Tau Sand Volleyball Tournament.

Come on and hang out for the day with the actives. Meet new people, eat some food, play some games or just sit around and watch the hilarity that ensues as people try to be athletic....

: 1st Annual Sig Tau Paintball Shootout POSTPONED

Due to unforseen, but advantageous, circumstances (I got a new job), the 1st Annual Sig Tau Paintball Shootout is being postponed until further notice.

That, and no one seems all too interested. I know there are some out there that are, and to them , I appologize. If you would like to set it up, contact Bean. I'm sure he's interested. He might have some more info.

Unless something drastic occurs, the paintball thing is done. Post something if you feel that we should still pursue it.

Peace out

Gentlemen,

What the %$#@! is going on? I hope everyone is doing well and is in good health (not including the hazy weekend you might have had). I just wanted to inform all the brothers that Blue and White weekend (4/26/03) is quickly approaching and I would be more than happy to house a number of you fools at my house for a weekend of drunkeness and all around good times. Feel free to give me a call (814-883-9469) to reserve your spot on the floor.

Fantasy baseball is set up for any of those interested. It's on ESPN's site, just like the NCAA Tourney. Go to the following site, and either login or register for a free account. Then click on Baseball Challenge under Baseball on the left side. The group is Sig Tau and the password is boarts as always.

If the link doesn't work you can also get to the page by clicking Fantasy from espn's main site.

: 1st Annual Sig Tau Paintball Shootout Update AGAIN
: Sports
Bubbagiel on Mar 21, 2003 - 11:42 AM
Sports

Because of typical SIg Tau response, we will not be having the 1st Annual Sig Tau Shootout paintball event in March.
We are currently planning to have the event in late April. I am working with Gregg Foutz to secure a time and location.

I'm thinking that it will be around the last week of April. That gives the actives sometime to finalize plans and releive some stress before finals.

To the alumni, show up, drink some beers, shoot your favorite pledge brother and others, and have a great time.

Once again, the cost should be less than $50 so there shouldn't be any monetary concerns. Also, the sport of paintball is a safe sport. It's fun for all ages, requires minimal physical exertion.

Hope to see ya then.

Faternally,
Bubba Gump

Attention!

There only seems to be a small interest in playing paintball.

To the actives: This could easily be used a rush tool to increase membership for next semester (jeez, we actually have to think about the future). If you have any ideas or concerns, just email me. Also, if there are a few people interested, please pass the word along. It will be a great time.

To the alumni: If the actives don't wanna play, I have a few connections to score some sweet deals in the Burgh. It would be nice to shoot Lindner in the ass with a paintball moving 250fps (feet per second). Give it a try, you need not be athletic. For pete's sake, Fat Ass Giel is playing. This could also be a rush tool for the alumni association. They are struggling for membership.

As before, I'm working to get a good price to play for like 4hours. Should defineately be less than $50. Still working on it tho. I need to know approx how many people are interested. Contacting a field and saying, "Ummmm. We might have 50 people, but it might only be 5 is NOT good."

Post your comments and we can discuss the situation.

Thanks gentlemen
Bubba Gump N-149

Note: Sounds like fun

Here's your chance to relieve some stress and shoot your Brothers in a somewhat controlled environment.

I am in the process of planning the 1st Annual Sig Tau Paintball Shootout.

What? A day filled with paintball excitement and thrills.
If you have never played paintball, you are missing out on a fun, exciting and overall good time.

I don't think it will cost too much. I'm working to get a decent price (less than $50), but still working.

If you're interested in finding out more........ just stay tuned. Or send me a message.

Pissed at Giel? Come shoot some paintballs at him
Hate Snake? Shoot him in the ass with a paintball marker
Want to shoot Pavlock? Ok, but come play paintball anyway
What to light up E-Roc? Come play

It should be fun if there is interest. Let me know, yo.

I'm think late March or early April.

If anyone would like to go out and play a nice round of 9 or 18 on the saturday of almuni weekend bring up your sticks. E-roc, Tomlinson, and I will already be going out because we have to play for golf class, so if anyone wants to come along they are more than welcome. I'd actually like to try to get as big of a crew as possible. So join in if you want and we'll go out and have a good time.

Note: This sounds fun... Remember, saturday is the alumni meeting too though. So plan accordingly

Just a thought, but with Penn State having 8 home games this year, and one of them being against the much hated Nebraska Cornhuskers, it might be an idea to get a group together and get tickets for a game. Group tickets go on sale Friday August 9th at 8:30 am so we have time to see if there is any interest. If your interested let us know by posting a comment to this article, and we can work from there. The home games are as follows.........

April 1st was one of the greatest days in Sig Tau sports history. ever. The TKE team had been practicing since the last time we played and they got shut out 8-0, and the Sig Tau team met the day before and put an offense and defense together that proved too tuff for the TKE's to handle.

It's Final Four time again, and no doubt you've seen the carnage that happened throughout the weekend...wrecking havoc on office pools everywhere. How's everyone doing in their pool? And, more specifically, can any of the so-called sports experts (about 5 names jump to mind) make the call as to who is going all the way? Personally, while I'm pulling for Penn State... I'd love to (as always) see Gonzaga pull it off...
