Chapter Eternal and loved ones

Unfortunately, it seems that we have more memorials posted on here then anything else.

This past Monday the 30th of July, Matt Henderson's grandfather passed away.

Many of you would have never met this man but he, for the past five years (for some of us) opened his arms to allow us to come and camp at his property and camp along Suger Creek, around Cooperstown, PA.

We always tried to put on a good fireworks for this man and his family every fourth of July and it actually became an event for the local neighbors who would await our shows. In fact this year when Mr. Henderson was admitted to the hospital right before this years retreat he argued and pleaded with the hospital staff to let him out only long enough to go home and enjoy the fireworks. Unfortunately he was not able to attend but he was there in spirit.

I would like to thank Matt Henderson and his family for the great times we have had at this camp and would like to extend our condolences to his family and friends.

Matt asked that no flowers be sent to his grandmother since she is allergic to them. Cards would be just fine.

Anyone wishing to send a card to Jean Henderson please do so to the following address:

Jean Henderson
632 Creek Road
Cooperstown, PA 16317

Chapter Eternal and loved ones

Everyone please take a moment and say a prayer(or whatever you do) for Brian Steffan and his sister Amanda.

Sunday night, their mother Dina Thompson finally succumbed to her battle with Leukemia. She fought diligently for years, while her children and those close to the family worked together to raise money for her treatments. She kept her spirits up all along, and we are all damn proud of her for her fight.

For those of you who never had the chance to meet Dina, she was basically the coolest mother I\'ve ever met. Some may remember the day that her and Chris Bird\'s mother showed up at an open party and demanded entry to the guys working the door. They then partied hard, and kept up with us nearly all night.

I feel blessed that I had the honor to know her, and will never forget her beautiful imagination, wit, and outlook. You have to be one hell of a woman to put up with a son like Steffan. She will be missed.

Formal plans are still in the works. For those of you that would like to help out, or just send a note with some love, I have put Brian's address at the bottom of this article. Even if you aren't entirely familiar with Brian or his mother, please send if you have the means. Any other questions, please email me kaylor.josh@gmail.com

Brian Steffan
525 South Main St. Apt. 1
Washington, PA 15301

Thanks for everything

Fraternally,

Chapter Eternal and loved ones

I regret to inform everyone that this morning on Thursday, August 10th at approximately 3:40 AM we have lost a beloved brother we all knew and loved. George Garrison was the passenger in a Jetta south of Kane, PA west of Edinboro, when it left the road and struck two trees and burst into flames. The front passenger was pulled from the wreckage by two passing motorists, but they were not able to save George or the driver. I know not all of the Behrend Sig Taus knew George, but he was from Baltimore and started schooling at Behrend and then transferred to Edinboro, where he instantly made friends with all our brothers there. This tragic event not only affects our chapter but also edinboro\'s. George was the tpye of guy that would walk into the house and instantly bring a smile to the room with a joke or somethign else amusing and somehow a party always seem to start. I have very little information at this time concerning all the events or any funeral arrangements. Please feel free to leave messages on here with any updates anyone might receive from Edinboro brothers or anyone with information. I know George will be sadly missed!
Rest in Peace George...
