It was brought up earlier this semester that some brother wanted to get flasks for formal. It was decided that brothers would be paying for these on their own, seperate from formal. When I contacted the company about getting them, I was quoted a price based on getting 40 of them. It will be $11.60 (give or take a few cents) per flask if we get at least 40 (this price includes shipping cost). No design has been decided on, but it will most likely just be letters (unless someone has a kick ass design that everyone likes). My point in writing this is to say that if anyone (Active, Alumni, White Rose) is interested in getting a flask, please let me know via e-mail ASAP so I can get a list together and a finalized price (less than 40, they will cost more, more than 40 the price may go down). I\'d like to allow at least two weeks between ordering them and formal.

Ok so I have everything for formal done finally! It will be at the Days Inn in meadville PA on April 4th. The adress to the hotel is 18360 Conneaut Lake Rd. Tickets will be $35 for actives and $50 for alumni. This price is per couple. Please pay me ASAP so that I have enough money to pay for all this stuff. aka dont wait until formal to pay!

Hey I just wanted to let everyone know that formal this year is going to be April 4th 2009. It is going to be at the Days Inn in Meadville, same place as last year. Ticket price is still currently unknown but I will post again as soon as i know. Please mark your calendars and attend!

This year formal is going to be held on April 19th, (not the previously planned 12th), at the Days Inn Conference Center in Meadville. (We're banned from everywhere but the TravelLodge which steals money from us)

Rooms will be about $63 and tickets will cost $35 for Actives and $45 for Alumni.
The phone number is 814 337 4264. Call and request a room for the group Sigma Tau Gamma, or the group under my name, Andrew Clark. You will need a credit card to do this. Doing that will give you a room in our block with is around about thirty rooms all next to each other. There are both smoking and non-smoking rooms if you are interested.

We have the banquet hall from 6-12, where dinner will be served, awards will be given out and a DJ will be playing.. Dinner will be a buffet which includes the following:

Fruit Salad, Pasta Salad and a Tossed Salad.
Mixed Vegetables and Butter Corn.
Garlic Rice and Whipped Potatoes.
Sliced Stuffed Chicken, Baked Ham and Lasagna.

There will be security guards checking IDs at the door and giving out bracelets or stamping hands.

As was last year, alumnis or actives who are not current on their dues need to be paid up before showing up. If you are unsure of your status, call Bird at 724 747 5069.

Alumni Eboard members:

Are all of you planning on being in Erie for Friday evening/night? There was talk of scheduling a dinner followed by a meeting between the two eboards, but all active members and alumni would be welcome. If that sounds interesting for Friday evening let me know. If that falls through we can easily meet Saturday morning/afternoon. There are a few topics that need to be discussed and like I said before all brothers are welcome to attend.

I did not know I could post shit. Sweet. Ok, thank you Rod for posting stuff about formal on here and for ignoring all my phone calls. Yeah I had cancel formal for the 21st after I had already booked everything because I was informed by Ray Immekus that everyone would be attending Lewis Black on Saturday the 21st and not coming to formal until later that night.

Yeah our alumni contact list does not even exist so I will try to work on that.

I have a block reserved and only expect about 100-110 people so I would call and reserve a room. There are 32 rooms available for those that want their own room. When you reserve a room it is for Sigma Tau Gamma under Chris Bird. Have a credit card ready although it will not be charged till you check out.

Current issues with formal: I had to sign a contract stating that no one will have alcohol in the hallways so get a pop bottle or anything with a lid, I don\'t care. I have not yet talked to the security guard but we have to have one. I was told that anyone caught with alcohol in the hallways will be tossed out and the whole fraternity could possibly be thrown out. Certain people are not allowed to come to formal at all and if they are seen at any point in time they will be asked to leave. If they do not, and it does not matter if your alumni or not, and you harbor them in your room YOU will be asked to leave first by active eboard then by security. If ANYONE has a question about this or a problem call me and I will explain why. 724 747 5069

The meal includes salad, fruit salad, rotini w/ meat sauce, baked chicken, apple pie, and chocolate cake. All buffet style.

Check in around 3pm, Cash Bar at 6pm(no open bar), Dinner awards etc 6:30pm, DJ and ballroom till midnight

Hotel rooms are $65 plus tax(damn summer rates)

Well I guess none of the Actives use email or the "internet" for anything and don't know about this site.

Formal ,if you heard about it, already WAS set for April 21st, but apparently there is a little known comedian on campus that day called Lewis Black, so of course Formal has been changed. Damn Priorities.

The NEW date for formal is ONE WEEK later on the 28th of April, so Dan Jaecks, your gonna have to change your plane ticket. Hanlon, your underage molesting will have to be postponed for one week. Just wanted to let everyone know through the site and i\'ll be sending out an email to confirm this. Some of the actives apparently dont keep very good records,email addresses or know that the steam engine is obselete.

Ta Ta for now! Hope some more of ya can make it this year. I'm sick of looking at Seese.

As many of you probably already know, formal is April 22nd. tonights meetings consisted largely of a discussion about finances. Some motions were passed, and they involve not only actives, but alumni as well:

All actives who any money must pay a minimum of a hundred dollars for the right to go to formal.

All alumni who owe money, must pay 25% of their debt by formal if they wish to go.

Wanted to post a quick note about the Sig Tau formal.
Formal 2005 is set to be April 9th at the Avalon!! Yes, you heard right. We're back to the site of X-fest. (shuster, no flags this time!!) How this was accomplished I dont know and am not sure if I want to know. Guess 'banned for life' was quicker than I thought.

As for more details, I have NONE. The actives have not informed the alumni of prices, contact info, rooms, or anything like that. When I know more it will be added to this posting.

a BIG note about this formal that is a change over past years is the usual Alumni Assoc meeting. The meeting will NOT be during formal weekend this year! The meeting will be the following weekend, April 16th up in Erie. We have a lot of serious business to talk about and the reasons for the move, along with the issues will be outlined in a following announcement for the brothers.

Well, hope to see you at formal. for those who wont be at formal, hopefully you can make it up for the Alumni Assoc meeting.

-$45 for alumni

-prices include 1 hr. of open bar which is sweet ass..i pat myself on the back for that one

-money is needed by April 6th and you can mail it to me if you aren't going to be around

Well for those of you that have'nt heard or have whined like little bitches, Bekah Braun is our newly crowned White Rose. We decided this and since this wonderful girl was worthy in our minds and the fact that she is a senior and graduating in the spring we decided it would be more gentlemenly to give it to her now andlet her enjoy it before she graduates. For all of those bitching because we didnt do it in the spring, get fuckin over it! I doubt we'll have one i nthe spring since we did it this way and we can still do the formal presentation to her in front of everyone.

Well another year has passed and we survived the 2002 White Rose Formal, though the Ramada may have not. It was great seeing the few alumni who did show up as well as getting to know all the new brothers better.
Where to begin, what to say? So many things happened it's hard to know what to comment about but ill try to do a fair, clean recap of some of the highlights.
