Brothers (White Roses),
I hope that those of you that have recently joined Facebook have found it fun and interesting tracking down those from your past!
The topic has recently come up of possibly re-uniting for our 20 year anniversary (XX Fest). I for one had a great time meeting and talking to all those alumni I heard such great stories about when I was pledging.
If this is a sincere interest of the brotherhood to do this once again I would love to help organize it. Pat Cobb and Aaron Rospierski have said they would like to help out in the planning of this, if it is to come to fruition. We are currently around 339 members, this is alot of people to try to find, talk to, inform, and organize if we want this to be bigger and better then the first X Fest!
I\'m asking everyone to get involved to an extent and track down those that are not already part of brotherhood currently on Facebook. I would like everyone to contact your little brothers, big brothers, pledge class members and white roses. If we double up on contacting people GREAT! The more people we can persuade to join the easier it is for all of us to stay in contact. I\'m sure there are a couple brothers out there you all have been wondering about.
Between Emails, cell numbers, home numbers, Myspace, Twitter, Plaxo, the old alumni site, whitepages.com, etc. this should not be such a daunting task if we all chip in. I kept looking at lists and feeling overwhelmed knowing how many people there are.
Some of the ideas floating around would be to have XX Fest during Formal weekend which is generally at the end of April. I doubt this would give us enough time to coordinate and plan an event such as this. My thought was to plan it for Alumni weekend towards the end of October in conjunction with Behrend\'s. This would allow for alot of activities for the whole family to be planned. I\'m sure we can fit in some time down at Jimmies too.
I would like to ask people to invite people to Join the Sig Tau - DY Private Page for the organization of this, because we can send mass emails rather easily. Once people join Facebook all their information will be up to date and informs people when they update other information. If there are qualms of people joining and privacy, all these can be taken care of through the privacy settings.
I would love for this to take shape and be able to plan a great XX Fest! If nothing else just to find those that we have not talked to or seen in some time.
Thank You for you time!
Jarrod Stanton

Bro’s,
Thanks to Joel’s diligence I have found you. I am lost no more. Having emerged from the wilderness, only to hop a plane and head back in. Wanted to reach and share some news. On March 17th I will be leaving Capital One after 9 great years. Sherry, Tori and I will be moving to Cape Town, South Africa for at least three years. I have taken a position running a South African company called Dialogue Group. I have signed a 3 year contract with them, and we are very excited about the large change in our lives.
Please let me know how you are doing and what you are up to. It will be great to hear from you all.

As some people know an Alumni of ours, Chris Wallack, is going to move to Pittsburgh at the end of this year. For one last shebang, he is going to attempt to do a shot from every bottle behind the bar at Jimmy Z's, or 73 shots. It's going to go on from 11 AM until they kick him out on this Friday, January 14th.
If anyone is interested in buying him a shot, I am going to keep track of who gets what, so we don't have any confusion. Email me if you want to pick your booze, first come first serve.
Or, just show up.

Just to let all you guys know that this year's Behrend Alumni Reunion Weekend is September 28 - September 30. This will probably be our alumni weekend with the alumni association's meeting.
Also, to let all of you alumni and actives know that this year they have brought back the infamous FREE wine tour. Who doesn't remember the one from 2 years ago where everyone bought bottles of wine and passed them around on the way to the next tour , Hendo tried to ride the tractor at one of the winerys and Hendo passed out on the way back to campusand the driver had to wake him up after everyone got off the bus.
So go to this website to register http://www.behrend.psu.edu/alumni/ReunionRegistration07.htm
When you check the box for the wine tour there is actually a typo there that says lake shore wing tour.
* Alumni Nine Hole Golf Scramble
* Free Family Lunch
* Family Circus Activities and afternoon Jazz Concert
* Lake Shore Wine Tour
* Penn State Creamery Ice Cream
* Horse Drawn Trolley Rides
* Autumn Tours of the Behrend Arboretum
* Family Dinner Under the Big Top
* And much more!
Note: Alumni meeting to be held sometime that weekend... Time/place TBD

Finally, an end to the 11 year plan is in sight!
Greg Foutz will be graduating from Penn State with a Bachelors Degree in IST on Friday, May 18, 2007!!
A much deserved graduation party will be held to celebrate this momentous and long awaited occasion. All are invited to join us for fun, food and of course Jack Daniels.
Where: The Foutz Residence - 1878 Route 68, Rochester, PA 15074
When: Saturday, May 19 @ 4:00pm – whenever
We have some room in the house for anyone that would like to stay. Our yard is huge so feel free to camp out. The closest hotel (if anyone is interested) is on Rout 19 in Cranberry (Holiday Inn Express).
We’ll have a bonfire going, volleyball and horseshoes for anyone that’s interested and a slip-n-slide (just for you Kaylor). Rain or shine, it will be a good time!
An RSVP is appreciated (but not required) so I can get an idea of how much food and beer I’ll need – bekahfoutz@gmail.com
Greg and I would love to have everyone come and celebrate with us!

The meeting we are having will be in Conference Room 236 in the REDC building, at 11. We couldn't do it in Reed because all the rooms are reserved for the Alumni Weekend events. You can park in the Junker Center for sure, but I'm not sure if they are letting people park in the (closer) teacher's lot on the weekends.
Even if you don't think you are going come and hang out Friday or Saturday night, please come to the meeting if possible. Our brotherhood has gone through many changes this semester but we still need the help of our alumnis.
Clark
Note: No idea where any of these places are.. but hopefully people will find them.

Brothers,
Just a little reminder for everyone that plans on attending the alumni weekend this weekend up in erie. There is a registration form at this website.
https://estore.psu.edu/home.asp
It give the college information on who is going to be there and who get the packets of information at Reed Hall. You can also sign up for many events, some free some not. WINE TOUR FREE! The Tour was a great time last year. This is avery family oriented alumni weekend with many dinners, lunches, social events and things for the kids to participate in. Plus never for the the biggest attraction for all Jimmy Z's Playground. Maybe one of these years we can get a nice turnout and get that picture to hang in Jimmy\'s (He is OK with it.) like we always say we are going to do. It supposed to be a nice weekend in erie 51 degrees and mostly sunny all day on saturday! There is the Alumni meeting in the reed building at 11 AM on saturday morning. Come converse with the active chapter see what they are up to, ask questions, mainly a round table discussions and situations of both the actives and alumni. Hopefully Morton will bring some football gear, and we can take on those actives, they arent that big.
I hope many of you can make it this year, especially all you close guys, ie Meadville, the burgh, cleveland?, buffalo? and everyone in between.
If anyone does get up and wants to see the current "house" it is located at 2036 Station Road, its grey with burgundy trim, four houses up from the old one. Yes, they still can use the church parking lot for parking, but towing is strictly inforced on sunday morning.

It's been a while and not everybody is going to know who I am, but I now live outside of Jacksonville, FL and was wondering if there were any brothers living in Florida. It seems the farther away you get from Erie the more you miss the old days. If anybody is living in Florida or just passing through the Jacksonville area give me a call or send me an email letting me know where you live or when you're passing through. It would sure be nice to see some familiar faces!

Well first I would like to apologize for not being in touch for so long. I used to get emails from some of the brothers, but now I just hear from Bungee once in a blue moon. I travelled trough Erie this weekend on my way to Niagara Falls. It had been probably a year and a half since I had seen Erie. During the trip I went by the house and saw that our letters were proudly displayed. I remember everybody shooting down the idea of putting out letters outside as it would advertise it was a \"frat house\". Like the police didn\'t already know we were there. Fast forward to this weekend. Again I apologize, but where\'s the house? Does the Brotherhood still own the property? Is there new property/house? If someone could fill me in I would appreciate it. I was going to show my wife where some of the best times I\'ve ever had took place. I was almost speechless when I saw it was gone. Luckily Coney Island is still around the corner. Every time I see Coney Island I think of Yaz puking up Fruit Loops at 3:00 AM. Those were the days.

For those of you who don't already know, I have recently returned to Pittsburgh. This is due to my new employment with Plus Consulting. For those of you wondering what will happen to Kate, she is going to remain in D.C. The school she is working for is going to pay for her masters at George Washington University. We both had oppurtunities we could not pass up, so once again the long distance relationship begins. Atleast this time we're alot closer. I just wanted to give the heads up that I'm back, so if anyone is looking to grab some beers give me a ring. I'll living at home for while, until I get settled in. It's good to be home.

This years Alumni weekend is slated for Oct. 10th - 12th! Yes, we made plans early this year and will be trying to do the same with other events too if possible.
As for a tenative agenda of things to do.... Drinking, hanging out with old friends, alumni meeting, and maybe talking to the newer actives about life are what is planned so far. (will post more as its decided) Of course we may have some friendly sporting event between actives and alumni and maybe go out to dinner, who knows... If anyone has any ideas or suggestions please let me know blindner AT sigtauonline .com
The alumni assoc will be 'trying' to sponsor some of the activities in some way for the weekend if possible. I say trying and if possible only because as of now, we have very few paid members and thus have no funds to do anything fun with.
If you have not yet joined the assoc or wish to make some sort of donation please do. The assoc is trying to over the next year or so reinvent it self and get past the old bad blood issues. Also, the house is going to be in need of some MAJOR work over the next few years, Roof, walls, and who knows what else... having a strong association can help guide the future of things. You can see association info on The Alumni Page or contact a member of the Alumni Assoc E-board.
In any case, come back up for the alumni weekend at least... We can talk more over a few beers!! Or you could just get drunk, tell me to piss off and yell "Shut up Madl!" like the old days.
Fraternally,
Brian Lindner
alumni president
PS... 5 months notice is MORE than enough and I hope to get a big turnout, so tell everyone you know about the chapter's alumni weekend!!! Bring back the good old days.

Hi All,
I just want to let everyone know that I am still alive and well. I have been non-existant due to the fact that I have accepted a new job and requires alot of travel time. I am working for Bausch & Lomb making chemical solutions, so watch out all you who wear contacts. I know Spring Break is coming up soon, so if any of you get a chance to come to Clearwater, give me a call. All my friends work in Night Clubs, so I can get everyone in free and drink on a promo tab free. I GOT THE HOOK UP you could say. Anyway, just wanted to keep in touch. Later........

Just looked at the site for the first time. I've been going through for about an hour and it brings back lots of old memories. Nice to hear things haven't changed.
I have been out of touch with most of you, so this definitely gives me an avenue to get back in touch. I just moved from Aruba to Phuket Thailand a few months ago. Phuket is on the southern end of Thailand. I'm on the Adaman sea side of the island facing India. Really an amazing place. I get back to the states about twice a year. I acceptd a new job as regional director of finance for mvci asia (subs. of Marriott). The job has been great. Life is also treating me well. Very unique lifestyle out here. Everything you see in the movies is for the most part true.
My e-mail address is as follows: hugh.rosenblum@vacationclub.com. Phone number is as follows: (011)6698714742. I know some of you are traveling with your jobs. If you are in Southeast Asia, give me a call.
I hope this e-mail finds you all doing well.

Well guys, I kept saying I was gonna get out of Erie ever since I graduated... well gues what? It's finally happened. I am on my way to my new home in Aspen, CO. Yup, my new home is a ski resort in the middle of the Rocky Mtns!! I have accepted a position as Director of Information System for the Sivertree Resort right outside Aspen, in Snowmass Village, CO. This means that all you lazy bastards that have never skiied anywhere but the friggin Peak 'n Peek, have NO excuse to not come and visit me and get a taste of God's Country!!
Oh and Pavlock, thanks for posting this for me. For someone who sits and stares at a cornfield all day and is the number one active member of this site, its nice to see you using your time efficiently. In the meantime, send your woman home, throw your mtn bike in the truck and head west young man. That goes for the rest of you as well!
Peace Out!

Any suggestions from anyone about dates and/or events for Alumni weekend 2002? Myself and some other actives will be meeting with Leczo and some others on the 13th (july) at my house before my party to discuss it. This site is the best place to leave any input.
I personally would like to see a cross-generational drinking olympics, but that's just me.
Note: it you have a comment post it to this article or use the forum (but NOONE seems to use forums!!) if we get some dates, maybe ill post a Voting poll to help the people in charge with selection ;)

The Behrend Sig Tau Alumni Association has since it’s inception annually collected "dues". These dues are collected to finance operations of the association. The costs of operations to this point have been rather basic, such as administrative costs of mailing and website hosting. If financial viable, the association can also use dues to fund parties, award scholarships, and provide major gifts to the school and chapter. With the exception of a few provisos spelled out in the Alumni Associations incorporation, these dues can be used in whatever manner the association deems necessary. Read more...

Could somebody post something on the site about the alumni dues? How much, still $25, when do we pay, who do we pay. I think this would help everybody out. There are plenty of alumni who have no problem with giving we just don't know the who, what, and whens. So if somebody could let us all know that would be great.
Thanks,
Zabo
ps-I hate Drew Bledsoe!!!
Note: A few Alumni have expressed interest in this. Also, is the lifetime membership fee still in effect?

Mike Zablotny's bachelor party will be April 21 at a club in Pittsburgh. Not only do we want to use this as an opportunity to send off Zab, but also an opportunity for all Behrend Alumni to get back together. As more information is available I'll post it here on the website as well as contact people individually. If you have any questions, please e-mail me.
Circle April 21 on you calendars and I hope to see everyone there!
