Alumni Association News

I attended the chapter meeting last night (April 12) as the actives discussed the various houseing plans for the future of the fraternity along with other items. I think it went very well and hopefully with this weekends other meetings we can all work together towards our goals.
Thank you to all the actives who have talked to me over the past few weeks, at formal and discussed things at last nights meeting. I think everyone there last night did a great job expressing their concerns, ideas and hopes for this chapter.

I had prepared something for the meeting to read but as the meeting ran long, and so much discussion about the issues was done I decided to simply post my message here on some things and let the actives or anyone else read them.

Changes and the Future - Brotherhood Meeting 2005-04-12

Yes, it is a bit on the long side as I just started to think about a lot of things that this chapter and its college members will be facing over the next decade. Feel free to share this with anyone you wish (its a PDF so it should be easy to email, or to link to) and comment on it. It is by no means everyone's view of our situation simply my own.

Thanks
Brian

Formal

So ya, this formal was pretty sweet. Since the galleries have lupis and I'm sure those that didn't come would love to see others having a good time, check out Chaplick's Chappy Vision to see what we've been up to

Note: Um,... actually our galleries have been working fine... Feel free to put up pics into the Upload Gallery or for the time being the 2005 Formal Gallery.

Active Chapter

Jason Howell, one of our lovely brothers, is currently serving in the Marine Corps(special forces i think) as a sniper. He left for Iraq a month ago, and I had not heard from him since until today. I have decided just to attach this convo, so everyone realizes that he\'s crazy, but still alive.....

Alumni Association News

It had been mentioned once that an alumni brother, or a the alumni's family may own some land up Jordon Road past I-90. The land would be past the point of campus.

Does anyone know who's family this may be? It has been brought up that the chapter may wish to purchase new land to build a new house on and we are trying to track this person down. If anyone remembers who, or knows of anyone who may know let me know ASAP. Kaylor and the actives think Anderegg may have known who owned the land, but noone has any contact info for him...

If anyone has any info please let me or Chris laugelli know.
Thanks...

Job News

So I of course have run into a pickle with my obsessive drinking and stupidity over the years, and must take one final class over the summer to get both degrees. This becomes tons of fun when trying to score interviews with companies that do not suck. Since I\'m chubby and furry and have had sex with half of the alumni E-board, I figured it was cool to post this plea.

HELP ME GET A JOBBY JOB POR FAVOR.

Graduating on Aug. 3rd with a degree in MANGT and MRKTG. Hook me up and you get a bottle and your tummy rubbed. Hope to see everyone i know next month, and maybe I can meet some new people before I graduate that are old enough to be my dad.

Formal

Wanted to post a quick note about the Sig Tau formal.
Formal 2005 is set to be April 9th at the Avalon!! Yes, you heard right. We're back to the site of X-fest. (shuster, no flags this time!!) How this was accomplished I dont know and am not sure if I want to know. Guess 'banned for life' was quicker than I thought.

As for more details, I have NONE. The actives have not informed the alumni of prices, contact info, rooms, or anything like that. When I know more it will be added to this posting.

a BIG note about this formal that is a change over past years is the usual Alumni Assoc meeting. The meeting will NOT be during formal weekend this year! The meeting will be the following weekend, April 16th up in Erie. We have a lot of serious business to talk about and the reasons for the move, along with the issues will be outlined in a following announcement for the brothers.

Well, hope to see you at formal. for those who wont be at formal, hopefully you can make it up for the Alumni Assoc meeting.
