Dave Madl wrote to the alumni, "I am proud to announce that
the Fraternity's unofficial GPA is around 2.8, somewhere in the high 2.7's."
"We have it calculated at 2.8 right now but there are about 5 people who we don't know what their GPA was due to graduation and such. That is a jump of around .1, we were at 2.64 before. 12 of the 27 actives this semester had a 3.0 or above this past semester, including 6 of them were above a 3.5. 9 of the 27 have cumulative GPA's above 3.0. So we are definately improving and with the goals and factors we set for this semester, I wouldn't be surprised to see our average around 3.0 for this semester. I was really excited when
I learned this information the other day. The GPA's that have one the awards we set up (Best Semester GPA, Best Cumulative GPA, and Most Improved GPA) are decided and the active Brother's don't know who won yet, execpt for myself and my scholarship chair, Kolby Baker. No one will know until Formal and the grades that won are outstanding, and most improved came down to .01
to determine the winner. So things are looking good for us. Once again, I would like to thank the Alumni who volunteered money for the scholarship
program. We will set another program up for the associate members once we see how many we actually have (we are giving out 8 bids)."
Congratulations fellas, keep up the good work!
