Jeff Leczo wrote to all regarding this year's fundraising drive: The start of 2001 is a great time for us to begin what will be an annual event, the Alumni Membership Drive. For the Alumni Association to grow, it is of course imperative that we have some basic funds from which to operate, and this annual drive will meet that need.
These funds will be used in several areas:
? Starting and maintaining our own website
? Alumni Events (in which I would like to have 3 a year ? Fall, Spring, and Summer)
? Scholarship to the Actives as specified by our Charter
? Gift to the Actives as specified by our Charter
? Other Administrative costs (mailings, national dues, etc.)
Note: Alumni dues will be used for the Alumni Association and not for any house related issues.
The annual dues for the association have been lowered from $50 to just $25 / year. It is my belief that lower annual dues will attract greater participation, which is above all else key to our continued growth.
In the years to come I plan accomplish this membership drive via regular mail, with forms and self-addressed envelopes. My confidence in our current roster is however weak, so this year we are using e-mail. Please send a check for $25.00 made out for Sigma Tau Gamma Alumni Assoc. to:
