As this philanthropy chair for Sig Tau this year, I have registered us for the Leukemia and Lymphoma society walk in Erie on Tuesday September 22. I'm letting everyone know for 2 reasons:

1. If you would like to make a donation to sponsor our team, please contact me either via facebook or E-mail (jrg5221@psu.edu). All the money we raise goes directly to Leukemian and Lymphoma research.

2. If anyone will be in the Erie area on the night of Tuesday September 22, and would like to walk with us, please let me know and I'll add you to our team roster. The walk starts at 7:30 at Jerry Uht Park (the Seawolves stadium). The walk goes around downtown. It should be a good time, and all us actives would love to meet anyone who's willing to come around.

Hey everyone,

It was brought up earlier this semester that some brother wanted to get flasks for formal. It was decided that brothers would be paying for these on their own, seperate from formal. When I contacted the company about getting them, I was quoted a price based on getting 40 of them. It will be $11.60 (give or take a few cents) per flask if we get at least 40 (this price includes shipping cost). No design has been decided on, but it will most likely just be letters (unless someone has a kick ass design that everyone likes). My point in writing this is to say that if anyone (Active, Alumni, White Rose) is interested in getting a flask, please let me know via e-mail ASAP so I can get a list together and a finalized price (less than 40, they will cost more, more than 40 the price may go down). I\'d like to allow at least two weeks between ordering them and formal.

Ok so I have everything for formal done finally! It will be at the Days Inn in meadville PA on April 4th. The adress to the hotel is 18360 Conneaut Lake Rd. Tickets will be $35 for actives and $50 for alumni. This price is per couple. Please pay me ASAP so that I have enough money to pay for all this stuff. aka dont wait until formal to pay!

Hey I just wanted to let everyone know that formal this year is going to be April 4th 2009. It is going to be at the Days Inn in Meadville, same place as last year. Ticket price is still currently unknown but I will post again as soon as i know. Please mark your calendars and attend!

I hope that those of you that have recently joined Facebook have found it fun and interesting tracking down those from your past!

The topic has recently come up of possibly re-uniting for our 20 year anniversary (XX Fest). I for one had a great time meeting and talking to all those alumni I heard such great stories about when I was pledging.

If this is a sincere interest of the brotherhood to do this once again I would love to help organize it. Pat Cobb and Aaron Rospierski have said they would like to help out in the planning of this, if it is to come to fruition. We are currently around 339 members, this is alot of people to try to find, talk to, inform, and organize if we want this to be bigger and better then the first X Fest!

I\'m asking everyone to get involved to an extent and track down those that are not already part of brotherhood currently on Facebook. I would like everyone to contact your little brothers, big brothers, pledge class members and white roses. If we double up on contacting people GREAT! The more people we can persuade to join the easier it is for all of us to stay in contact. I\'m sure there are a couple brothers out there you all have been wondering about.

Between Emails, cell numbers, home numbers, Myspace, Twitter, Plaxo, the old alumni site, whitepages.com, etc. this should not be such a daunting task if we all chip in. I kept looking at lists and feeling overwhelmed knowing how many people there are.

Some of the ideas floating around would be to have XX Fest during Formal weekend which is generally at the end of April. I doubt this would give us enough time to coordinate and plan an event such as this. My thought was to plan it for Alumni weekend towards the end of October in conjunction with Behrend\'s. This would allow for alot of activities for the whole family to be planned. I\'m sure we can fit in some time down at Jimmies too.

I would like to ask people to invite people to Join the Sig Tau - DY Private Page for the organization of this, because we can send mass emails rather easily. Once people join Facebook all their information will be up to date and informs people when they update other information. If there are qualms of people joining and privacy, all these can be taken care of through the privacy settings.

I would love for this to take shape and be able to plan a great XX Fest! If nothing else just to find those that we have not talked to or seen in some time.

hey, i\'m a sig tau from down in edinboro...i was wondering if any of you guys up there were into snowboarding. i\'m coming up soon to do some filming and need somebody that knows the area good. Or just knows where there\'s a lot of good rails.

Anyof you fools planning on heading to the PSU game up in Syracuse this weekend? I am supposed to bein the area for work and was thinking of heading on up there. Let me know!

I was just wondering if the Alumni E-board or the active chapter has done any planning or put any thought into a 20 year re-union bash . It is approaching real fast and if something is going to happen we better start figuring out the details.
